•Keeps Council’s Public Relations Chairman informed of all programs and activities for promotion to the parish and local media

Golf Tournament

Each year, Corpus Christi Council 14132 puts on a golf tournament at a local course. The golf tournament has been consistently the largest fund raiser the Council supports.

• The Chairman is responsible for scheduling the annual golf tournament and securing a venue at rates that are favorable to the council.

• The Chairman is responsible for coordinating with Council members the acquisition of sponsors, prizes, and players for the annual tournament

• The Chairman is responsible for coordinating with the Public Relations Committee to provide information for media and internet coverage of the event.

• The Chairman is responsible for providing a financial accounting of the proceeds of the Golf Tournament.

• The Chairman is responsible for providing a list of potential charities to the General Membership for approval.

• The Chairman is responsible for making arrangements to present the proceeds to each charity.

• The Chairman is responsible for other events and duties as provided by the Grand Knight.

Tootsie Roll Drive

One of the staples of fundraising for Knights of Columbus councils is the Tootsie Roll drive. Each year, Council 14132 holds a Tootsie Roll drive to benefit Bishop Grady Villas and to provide wheel chairs for wounded warriors.

• Chairmen of each program area are appointed annually by the Grand Knight on the recommendation of the program director

• The Chairman is responsible for scheduling the Tootsie Roll drive.

• The Chairman is responsible for securing a venue that will allow groups of Knights to congregate outside and ask customers for donations.

• The Chairman is responsible for securing Knights to assist with the drive and scheduling those Knights to assure full coverage of the venue for the duration of the drive.

• The Chairman is responsible for ordering sufficient Tootsie Rolls to supply the Drive.

• The Chairman is responsible for storing excess Tootsie Rolls, the aprons, and canisters needed to put on a successful campaign.

• The Chairman is responsible for returning the collected funds to the Grand Knight for deposit immediately following the event.

• The Chairman is responsible for contacting the recipients of the proceeds and make arrangements for a presentation of a check.

• The Chairman is responsible for providing all necessary information to the Grand Knight for the completion of reports required by Supreme.

• The Chairman is responsible for any other events or tasks as required by the Grand Knight
